FIRST MEDIA BLOG:
1) Which part of Media are you looking forward to the most?
designing covers and potentially filming and editing short music videos are things that I'm looking forward to in media studies, mainly because it allows us to think creatively and lets us build on our imaginations which in my opinion sounds rather thrilling.
2) What knowledge and skills do you hope to learn in Media?
composition skills, editing in media software(s) are things that I'm hoping to learn in media studies as it would be quite useful in the future
3) What grade are you realistically hoping to achieve in Media?
personally, I am aiming for 7-8 in my GCSE results
4) What device do you use most to access the media? (The media = news, TV, music, film, social media etc.)
phone and tablet are the two devices I tend to use often to access any form of media
5) What is your average 'screen time' (or equivalent) on your phone each day. Is this about right, too little or too much? Why?
4-6 hours mainly for researching on sites like google or Pinterest (and also listening to music)
6) What was the last TV programme or film you watched?
Mr Iglesias on Netflix was the last piece of media I watched
7) What device or subscription do you use to listen to music?
New pipe is one of my most used apps as I mainly use it to listen to music
8) Do you play videogames? If so, what do you play games on and what is your favourite game?
not as much as I used to but my favourite games were: Minecraft, Roblox, Phasmaphobia
9) Are you on social media? If so, what social media do you have and why do you like it?
Pinterest, Instagram and Unvale as they are all forms of media that are usually where most people go for visual inspiration
10) Finally, do you think the media is a positive or negative thing for young people? Why?
if used efficiently, media can be great tool for young people as it gives them the opportunity to explore things they like and connect with people through the content they enjoy.
