women were presented as inferior and were expected to usually cook and clean

it uses a callout bubble to highlight the title and help it pop out

C- costumes shows the woman in home clothes as it is more 'dressed down' and practical

L- lights are aimed at the woman as the advert is starring her

A- back then, the audience they were trying to attract were house wives due to it promoting a cleaning product

M- makeup is somewhat natural expect for the bright red lipstick

P- the clothing rack, clothes, pin to portray the surrounding of the character

S- set outside, possibly in their backyard or an outdoor laundry line

the advert represents women as the inferior or weaker gender and is primarily expected to stay and work at home

that it helps women with maintaining good and clean household ultimately 'keeping the man happy'

10) What is the oppositional reading for this advert - How might a modern audience respond to this text and the representation of women here?

modern audience may find  this advert disrespectful and offensive due to it representing the oppression of feminine power
