M I SE E N S C E N E  : ANALYSIS: The opening of Stranger Things establishes the setting as a mixture of different emotions. this is because in the opening scene, the skies in the background has been sectioned off since we see that the top left, is a field with yellow skies, which connotes that it is bright and pure considering the audience would be drawn to it as it seems heavenly. however on the other side, the skies are in the shades of dark blues. this can connote the mix of emotions the character is facing which is shown using the environment. the contrast of light and dark can make the audience question what may happen in the next scene as it creates a sense of mystery.
